University of Surrey is inviting application for three funded PhD scholarships within the areas of nano-electronics, ion-beam research and experimental and theoretical photonics at Advanced Technology Institute. Scholarship Description: The Advanced Technology Institute at the University of Surrey consists of approximately 160 researchers working in fundamental and applied research in nanotechnology, quantum technology, carbon electronics and photonics, as well as a range of cutting edge research enabled by our ion-beam centre. The institute benefits from strong interaction between experimental and theoretical activities and houses researchers from the electronic engineering and physics departments. We are offering up to three funded ATI PhD scholarships within the areas of nano-electronics, ion-beam research, and experimental and theoretical photonics. The ATI strongly encourages interaction and successful candidates will be expected to embrace this philosophy for t he development of photonic, electronic and biological materials and devices ranging from fundamental science through to practical implementation.
