Applications are invited for the Omid Cambridge Scholarship for the academic year 2013/14. Applicants must be citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran and liable to pay international or overseas fees for their desired Masters course at the University of Cambridge. Scholarships are available pursuing for one-year taught masters degrees in any subject available at the University of Cambridge, except the MBA and the MFIN. Scholarships are tenable at St Edmundâs College, Cambridge. The application deadline is 3 December 2013.

Eligibility: -Applicants must be citizens of the Islamic Republic of Iran and liable to pay international or overseas fees for their desired Masters course at the University of Cambridge. Applicants may not be citizens of any other country (e.g. dual nationals) which will result in them being eligible to pay fees at the Home/EU rate.
-It is not necessary for applicants to reside in Iran at the time of their application, or to have completed their undergraduate degree in any particular country.
-Applications must apply to the University of Cambridge according to the published procedure and timetable, and be offered admission.
-Applicants must state St Edmundâs College as their first-choice college in Cambridge.
-The Trust accepts applications from all Iranian candidates who meet our eligibility criteria, regardless of their background, sex, religion, or political affiliations.
Scholarship Open for International Students: Iranian students can apply for these scholarships.
Scholarship Description: Scholarships may be awarded to applicants for one-year taught masters degrees in any subject available at the University of Cambridge, except the MBA and the MFIN. What does it cover? The award will include:
-University tuition fee
-College fee
-An annual stipend, sufficient for a single person
-As a guide, it will be worth approximately £35,000.00.
Selection criteria: The scholarships will be awarded for Academic Excellence, Needs and Ambition and Motivation.
Notification:Â Applicants are typically informed about the outcome of their application between late April and early July.
How to Apply: The applicant should apply to the University of Cambridge. The applicant should:
- complete section B of the GRADSAF form (University Application Form for Graduate Students). The application form can be found here
-state clearly in his or her personal statement why he or she should become an Omid scholar, in particular discussing his/her ambitions, motivations, academic excellence and financial need.
-select St Edmundâs College as his/her preferred choice in the âcollege membershipâ section.
