Scholarship Description: The Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Fellowships programme offers long and short-term fellowships to assist in the training of scientists from Member States through the following actions:
1. Pre-doctoral fellowships and the International PhD programme
2. Postdoctoral fellowships
3. Flexible fellowships (short-term and sandwich PhD)
The Arturo Falaschi ICGEB Fellowship Programmes are open to nationals of ICGEB Member States only, who must submit their application to the ICGEB Liaison Officer in their country of origin for endorsement. Endorsement is an essential prerequisite for acceptance of the application. Only endorsed applications will be transmitted to ICGEB Headquarters for review and final selection. The applicants must contact the ICGEB Group Leader of their choice to ascertain laboratory space availability and obtain a prior agreement on their proposed research project in order to be admitted to the selection.

Duration of award(s): Fellowships are awarded up to 3 (three) years.

What does it cover?
-Stipends are calculated to cover the costs of normal living expenses (annually) for one person at the location of the individual host institute (married applicants should take special notice of this as no family or dependant allowance is included in the Fellowship); fellowships are renewable for the following years providing that the PhD programme requirements are fulfilled.
-Travel to and from the host country, medical health insurance cover will be covered.
-Accommodation: a housing service managed by the Welcome office Friuli Venezia Giulia is available (ICGEB Trieste); hostel is provided on campus on a twinsharing basis, at a nominal rate, for Ph.D. students only (ICGEB New Delhi);
-limited accommodation is available on campus in 2-or 3- bed roomed furnished apartments on a shared basis on conditions to be negotiated with the University of Cape Town. No meals are provided (ICGEB Cape Town).

How to Apply: Complete applications from nationals of ICGEB Member States must be sent to the ICGEB Liaison Officer in the applicant’s country of origin, for endorsement. Complete endorsed application form together with all requested documents should be sent by post. Italian nationals should send the complete applications directly to ICGEB Trieste. Attach the following documents:
-Curriculum Vitae and publications list;
-Proposed research project (including investigation topic/area, problem/hypothesis to be tested, methods/techniques to be used in the investigation as well as details of the applicant’s previous work in the proposed field);
-Written statement from the chosen Group Leader supporting the project and confirming availability of laboratory space;
-English language Proficiency certificate (such as TOEFL, Cambridge Certificate or equivalent); not applicable when scholastic education has been conducted in English;
-Three (3) letters of recommendation;
-Transcripts and certificates/ Diploma (Academic records) giving detailed information on all courses/final examinations completed, credit value or hours per course and grades received.
All the academic documents must be issued by the degree-granting University and bear the official seals and signatures and should be submitted in the original language accompanied by an English official translation of each document (self-translated documents are not acceptable).

Eligibility: Adelaide University China Fee Scholarships (AUCFS) will only be available to those applicants who:
-Are citizens and permanent residents of the People’s Republic of China at the time of application;

-Are a university student completing a master’s degree, or enrolled as a first year PhD student, or new graduates from their university at the time of application;
-Agree to return to China upon completion of their studies and/or research;
-Hold an unconditional offer of enrolment at the University of Adelaide, which is subject to the applicant also being successful in applying for a CSC award. They must therefore fulfil the relevant academic entry requirements set by the University of Adelaide for all international scholarship holders, including a high level of English language proficiency;
-English is the language of instruction at the University of Adelaide and proficiency in speaking, listening to, reading and writing English is essential. The IELTS (International English Language Testing System) is the preferred English language proficiency although TOEFL scores are also accepted. Applicants who have not provided evidence that they have met the university’s minimum English Language Proficiency requirementsby the closing date are not eligible for a CSC scholarship. CSC applicants are not permitted to undertake Pre-Enrolment English programs as the CSC will not award scholarships to applicants who have not met the university’s minimum ELP requirements for direct entry.
-The Scholarships will give priority to graduates of the Chinese universities listed as “985 Project” Universities.

Scholarship Open for International Students: The students of China can apply for these scholarships.

Scholarship Description:  The China Scholarship Council (CSC) and The University of Adelaide (UA) are jointly offering postgraduate research scholarships to students from the People’s Republic of China who intend to undertake a postgraduate research degree at the University of Adelaide. UA will provide an Adelaide University China Fee Scholarship (AUCFS) to each student selected under this program. What does it cover? The Erasmus Mundus programme provides EU-funded scholarships to students who have been selected by the consortia. Two categories of scholarships are available:
-Category A Scholarships: they can be granted by the Consortium to non-European students. Category A scholarship is 24,000 euros per year. For the first edition of the programme (2012-2014), the consortium granted 9 categories A scholarships. Category B Scholarships: they can be granted by the Consortium to European students.

The scholarship will be paid by bank transfer.

Selection Criteria: Domain of the bachelor: Points will be assigned proportional to the percentage of Computer Science credits in the curriculum.
-Academic results: This will be calculated as the weighted average of the marks in the different subjects. -Other studies: A second bachelor or master will score depending on the obtained credits in computer science. Extra-curricular courses taken will be scored based on lecturing hours taking.
-Professional experience: Points will be given by year of work on IT or BI position (regarding the position held and the topic).
-Personal project: Points will be assigned based on the following categories: organization, sequencing, content, vocabulary and word choice, critical thinking, originality and creativity, accuracy of facts.
-Reference letters: Points will be assigned based on the approval, comments and reputation of the referees, as testified by the reference letters and the referees’ H-factor.

Notification: The scholarship will be formally confirmed in May 2014. Selected candidates will be notified after validation of the consortium selection proposal by the European Commission.

Eligibility: To be eligible for the Fellowship, you must satisfy the following minimum criteria:
-At least five years of professional journalism experience, not including student journalism. Currently working as a journalist.
-Freelancers are eligible, if journalism is your main activity.
-Residing in Asia.
-Able to operate in English, this is the working language of the programme.
-We welcome journalists working in non-English media, but you will have to show your proficiency in English through a telephone interview.
-Permission from your employers to be away for the full three months of the Fellowship.

Scholarship Description: The programme allows Fellows to take part in seminars and workshops designed to sharpen professional skills and deepen their understanding of key trends shaping their profession. Eased of their usual deadline pressures, Fellows also get to work on an independent project and pursue their intellectual interests, guided by professors and other experts on and off campus. AJF also provides access to key news makers in Singapore’s public sector, business community and civil society, offering insights into the challenges faced by one of Asia’s most cosmopolitan hub cities.

Number of award(s): The Fellowship brings around 15 journalists from across Asia to Singapore for three months.

Duration of award(s): The duration of fellowship is three months.

What does it cover? Fellows will be provided a stipend of S$1,500 per month for the duration of the three month programme. Travel to and from Singapore will also be covered. There is no extra funding for spouses and children to visit. Free accommodation is provided in service apartments. Two or three Fellows share one apartment, which has a kitchen for you to cook meals. Fellows will have access to the library, computer, internet and athletic facilities of the NTU campus. NTU will apply for Training Employment Passes for the Fellows to come to Singapore. Any visiting family members must handle their own entry permit applications.

Selection Criteria: Not Known

Notification: The application materials will be reviewed by a panel comprising academics from the Wee Kim Wee School and experienced journalists. Potential applicants may be contacted for a phone interview. Successful applicants will be notified by mid-November 2013. Only successful applicants will be contacted.

-Languages ??Spoken: humanities, social sciences and physicians must have a good knowledge of German if it is necessary for the successful implementation of the project. Otherwise, good English language skills are necessary; natural and engineering scientists must have a good knowledge of English or German;

Selection Criteria: The selection of candidates is based solely on the assessment of their academic qualifications. Quotas for individual disciplines or countries do not exist.The assessment of the academic qualifications of the Applicants using the following criteria:
- Scientific career and previous academic achievement (mobility, Determination, technical breadth, scientific productivity)
- Quality of the publications listed in the Application key (originality, Degree of innovation, in multi-author publications also own share of the candidate)

Notification: The foundation will inform you and your academic host in the days after the meeting by e-mail about the decision of the selection committee. For larger meetings, the notice to all applicants and host can take a few days longer. If in case of a refusal, the reasons for rejection of the message be desired, so you get these unsolicited communication about four to six weeks after the meeting, also by e-mail. Please understand that we give this message before any individual information in order not to unnecessarily delay the creation of the notification letter.

Scholarship Description: Brigham Young University offers scholarships to select students, who have demonstrated a serious and diligent commitment to academic excellence, as an investment in their education. Scholarships funds are provided through tithes of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and offerings of generous friends of the university. They are given to encourage continued commitment to spiritual and intellectual growth. The gift of a scholarship assumes an obligation on the part of the recipient to use that investment wisely to prepare for expanded and purposeful service in the Lord’s kingdom.

Number of award(s): Brigham Young University anticipates awarding approximately one-fourth of the new incoming freshmen students an academic scholarship. 

Duration of award(s): The Financial Aid Office limits assistance to eight semesters of fall/winter scholarship per student. Spring/summer scholarships do not count against the eight semesters of eligibility. Thus, after receiving eight semesters of fall/winter scholarship, you may still be eligible for spring/summer awards.

What does it cover? Most scholarships are either full LDS tuition or half LDS tuition. Students will receive only one scholarship from the Financial Aid Office. If you qualify for more than one scholarship, you will receive the award with the highest monetary value. You are welcome to receive additional scholarships from your department or other organizations.

Selection Criteria: The scholarships will be awarded on academic basis.

Notification: Notification is sent to all applicants on Mid-November whether they are awarded a scholarship or not. Notification will be sent electronically through your Message Center.
