IOP Teacher Training Scholarships
IOP Institute of Physics is offering 150 Teacher Training Scholarships for UK, EEA or Swiss Teachers in the field of Physics in UK. Applicants must have a physics, engineering or mathematics degree or have a conditional PGCE offer subject to completing a Subject Knowledge Enhancement course in physics. Last date of submitting applications is 14th April 2014.
Bilateral Training Scholarships
Bilateral scholarships are funded by exchange programmes based on formal or informal agreements between Sweden and other countries. Applicants must be fluent in English or proficient in Swedish. Scholarships are awarded for the purpose of research, university studies or training. Deadlines vary according to the courses.
Earl Warren Training Scholarships
The Earl Warren Scholarship is awarded annually to rising law students whose commitment to social justice reveals outstanding potential for training as civil rights and public interest attorneys. Preference is generally given to law students entering their first year of full-time legal study at an accredited law school. Applications will close on April 30 each year.
The HANES WALTON, JR. Award for Quantitative Methods Training
The National Conference of Black Political Scientists (NCOBPS) is offering scholarships for the HANES WALTON, JR. Award for Quantitative Methods Training. This award is targeted toward PhD students and faculty at Historically Black Colleges and Universities, as well as women and minority PhD students and faculty at other institutions. Awardees will also be eligible for a small travel stipend provided by NCOBPS. The deadline for applications is April 15, 2014.
Institute for Social Research (ISR)-Rackham Summer Training Awards
The Institute for Social Research is funding awards to encourage and support graduate students from the University of Michigan to attend ISR summer programs. The financing of the ISR-Rackham Summer Training Awards to attend the summer programs is provided by the University of Michigan. Applications must be submitted by April 14, 2014.
Women Divers Hall of Fame Scholarships and Training GrantsÂ
Each year, WDHOF awards scholarships and training grants that provide financial and educational support to individuals of all ages. Training grants are intended to support tuition and fees, independent research, and/or an internship program at an accredited university. Scholarships are paid directly to the recipient. Applications will be available in September 2014.
Mawson Training Scholarship in Leadership
The Mawson Scholarship in Leadership is an advanced training program for Venturer Scouts aged 15 to 18 years. Participants should also hold a current leadership role or have recent leadership experience. The cost to participants is $150 and includes all meals and accommodation. Last date of submitting applications is 27th March 2014.
Professional Training Scholarship
Association of Zoos and Aquariums is funding training scholarship that will cover the costs associated with course tuition, meals, lodging and travel. Only one scholarship application may be submitted per individual per year. This scholarship is a merit based scholarship. Last date of submitting applications is 15 July each year.
UNESCO Training Fellowships
Full UNESCO training fellowships for short courses now open to nationals of developing countries. The fellowships offered under this scheme are of short term duration (6 months maximum) and are intended for specialized training at the postgraduate level.
Foundation Center Training Scholarships
The Foundation Center is now offering training scholarships that are designed to assist under-resourced nonprofits build their internal capacity. Training scholarships are for $100 each. Each nonprofit organization is eligible to receive up to two scholarships per calendar year. Applications are still open.
