United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is offering AIP scholarships for Pakistani/AJK students. Up to 9 MS Scholarships for a maximum period of 2 years and 5 PhD scholarships up to 4 years will be awarded. Successful candidates will be trained at a selected US Land Grant University in partnership with a Pakistani University or research center. The second two years of PhD scholarships will be at a Pakistani Agriculture University where the research will be conducted. The application deadline is 15 February 2014.
Study Subject(s):Â Applicants must conduct work/activities in one of the following thematic areas: Livestock, Vegetables, Wheat, Maize, Rice, or Tree crops.
Course Level: Scholarships are available for pursuing masters and PhD degree level at US Land Grant Universities.

Eligibility: MS scholarships:Â
-Must be a Pakistani/AJK national
-Applicants must have minimum of 16 years of education in Agricultural Sciences
-Maximum age on Closing Date should not be more than 30 years
-Applicants need to have minimum cumulative 50% academic marks as per HEC-AEF format
-Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship
-Applicants must conduct work/activities in one of the following thematic areas: Livestock, Vegetables, Wheat, Maize, Rice, or Tree crops.
PhD scholarships:
-Must be a Pakistani/AJK national.
-Applicants must have minimum of 18 years of education in agricultural Sciences and serving in Agricultural Universities/R&D institutions including Agri. Extension
-Maximum age on Closing Date should not be more than 40 years
-Applicants need to have minimum cumulative 50% academic marks as per HEC-AEF format
-Must not be a recipient of any other scholarship
-Applicants must conduct work/activities in the thematic areas of the AIP (Livestock, Vegetables, Wheat, Maize, Rice, or Tree Crops)
Scholarship Open for International Students: Pakistani/AJK Students can apply for these scholarships.
