The science, engineering, and technology fields are popular fields of study supported by scholarships and fellowships by foreign governments, universities, and international organizations. The scholarships are usually offered by Faculty/Department of Science of a University or by Technology Universities. We list the top 10 scholarships in the field of science, engineering, and technology offered by Universities around the world.

Science@Leuven Scholarships for International Students (Belgium)
The Science@Leuven Scholarships are for motivated and talented international students who are interested in participating in an international master programme of the Faculty of Science of the K.U.Leuven. The amount of the scholarship can be up to 8,000 Euro for 1 year. The scholarship will always cover the tuition fee for 1 year, the insurance and a basic health insurance coverage. The amount awarded for living expenses can vary.

TU Delft Excellence Scholarships for International Students (Netherlands)
The Delft University of Technology offers a number of excellence scholarship programs for international students. The Justus & Louise van Effen scholarship is one of those programs and it aims to financially supporting excellent international MSc students wishing to study one of the 40 technological and scientific disciplines at TU Delft.  The scholarships covers the tuition fees and monthly allowance for living expenses.

University of Geneva Excellence Master Fellowships (Switzerland)
The Faculty of science of the University of Geneva offers scholarships for outstanding students from any university who wish to pursue a Masters of Science Programme in the following scientific disciplines: Astronomy, Biology, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Earth Sciences, Environmental Sciences, Computer Sciences, Mathematics, Pharmaceutical Sciences and Physics. The Excellence Fellowship consists of a grant amounting to CHF 10’000 to CHF 15’000 per year.

TUBITAK Graduate Scholarship Program for International Students (Turkey)
The Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TÜBİTAK) grants scholarships for international students seeking to pursue a graduate degree in Turkey. The scholarship covers fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering and Technological Sciences, Medical Sciences, Agricultural Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities. The scholarships include monthly stipend, tuition fees, and insurance.

University of Tokyo Graduate School of Science Scholarships for International Students (Japan)
The University of Tokyo’s Graduate School of Science has established a new scholarship called the “Graduate School of Science (GSS) Scholarship for International Students,” which provides financial support to international students for a total of five years starting from the enrollment in a master’s degree course to the end of a three-year Ph.D. course.  This scholarship provides a monthly stipend of 150,000 yen.

Nottingham Trent University Science Scholarships for Non-EU Students (UK)
Nottingham Trent University is offering scholarships for international (non-EU) students pursuing eligible full-time Masters courses under the School of Science and Technology. The scholarships covers 50% of the tuition fee.

SINGA Graduate Award in Science and Engineering (Singapore)
SINGA is an award given to international students with excellent academic undergraduate and/or master’s results, and strong interest in doing research leading to a doctorate (PhD) in Science and Engineering at a Singapore University. The award provides financial support for up to 4 years of PhD studies including full tuition fees, monthly stipends, settlement allowance, and airfare grant.

University of Sydney Dean’s International Postgraduate Scholarships for the Faculty of Science (Australia)
The Faculty of Science offers a limited number of full-time postgraduate research scholarships to outstanding international students wishing to undertake a research doctorate degree (PhD) in the Faculty of Science. The scholarship consists of the full cost of academic tuition fees plus a stipend.

Monash University Faculty of Science Dean’s International Postgraduate Research Scholarship (Australia)
Faculty of Science Dean’s International Postgraduate Research Scholarships are offered for full-time postgraduate research studies within the Faculty of Science at Monash University. The scholarship covers the course tuition fee and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) fees.

University of Western Australia Science International Postgraduate Merit Scholarships (Australia)
The Faculty of Science offers international students a number of Postgraduate Merit scholarships to full-fee paying international students who are commencing a Master’s by Coursework in the Faculty of Science.  Scholarships are valued at either $12,000 or $6,000 (payable after census date each semester) e.g. for the $12,000 scholarship, student will receive $3,000 each semester over the two year Master course.

The World Academy of Science (TWAS) Fellowships 
With the world’s largest South-South PhD and post-doctoral research fellowship programme, TWAS helps early-career researchers to gain education and experience related to science and engineering at top global science institutions. TWAS currently has 313 PhD fellowships with 12 partners in seven countries, and 141 postdoctoral fellowships with 15 partners in eight countries.  The fellowships include monthly allowance and/or accommodation.
